2waytraffic scores hat trick of deals with Brazil’s TV Record
2waytraffic International, a Sony Pictures Entertainment company, is delighted to announce details of three new deals for its factual entertainment properties with Brazilian television network, TV Record, also known as Rede Record.
TV Record, Brazil’s second largest network, has commissioned and will produce 65 daily episodes of reality format You’re Hired; 13 x 30 minutes weekly episodes of lifestyle entertainment format, Turn Back Your Body Clock; and a celebrity version of reality format The Farm to run both daily and weekly across 10 weeks.
You’re Hired features potential candidates who are selected from hundreds of job seekers to compete for a particular job. Their skills and capabilities for the job are tested and viewers vote for the best candidate. The format has been a success in 13 territories including Argentina, Russia, Portugal and Thailand. In a modification of the original You’re Hired format which features two competing candidates per episode, TV Record’s version will feature five candidates competing in daily episodes across a week.
Turn Back Your Body Clock uses cutting edge medical analysis and lifestyle examination to show how unhealthy living effects life-expectancy. The format and/or completed UK series has been sold in 10 territories including Australia, Canada, the USA, the Netherlands and Russia.
You’re Hired will form part of TV Record’s established daily strand Programa da Tarde, whilst Turn Back Your Body Clock will appear within the Domingo Espetacular strand.
The Farm, created by Scandinavian independent producer Strix, is a survival and elimination reality format in which six women and six men are thrown together to live as farmers, back to basics without the luxuries of even running water or electricity. The format has been sold in 40 territories and is distributed by 2waytraffic International in Latin America.
Ed Louwerse, Managing Director, 2waytraffic International commented:
“TV Record has ramped up its investment in high quality programming for 2009, and I am delighted the network has recognised the quality and diversity of 2waytraffic’s catalogue with these three commissions.”
