2waytraffic International to distribute Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation’s The Real Fame Game
2waytraffic International has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to The Real Fame Game, the hit gameshow format from Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation (YTV),and will be taking the format to Mipcom this October.
The Real Fame Game has already enjoyed success on Japan’s YTV where it launched in 1997.Under the terms of the deal, 2waytraffic will adapt the show for western audiences, and distribute the format globally.
The Real Fame Game is a unique and hilarious format which takes a light-hearted and irreverent look at the nature of modern celebrity, and celebrities’ perception of themselves. Famous faces must prove their worth and how famous they really are by competing in a series of rounds which test how well the public know them.
As well as rolling out the format internationally, 2waytraffic will use its experience and expertise to leverage the format across multiple platforms.
Ed Louwerse, Managing Director of 2waytraffic International, commented: “The Real Fame Game has a particularly unique take on our fascination with celebrities which makes it stand out in the market. Its good-natured irreverence sets it apart, and I’m greatly looking forward to working alongside YTV in bringing this hugely enjoyable format to a global audience.”
